Product Details

Avelon is a slim custom rod designed for cafe curtains, door curtains, and other smaller window treatments. The 1/2" diameter gives it a lighter visual profile than a standard curtain rod, making it a practical choice for narrow windows, glass doors, and spaces where a clean, understated finish works best.

This rod is best suited to sheer and lightweight fabrics. It supports cafe curtains inside the window frame or door curtains mounted outside the frame, depending on the coverage and look you want. For French doors, two rods are typically needed for a complete pair.

Each rod is custom sized to fit your requested width. For inside mount applications, order based on the exact inside width of the window frame. If your measurement includes a fraction, the final width is rounded down to the nearest value so the adjustable ends can fit properly. A slightly shorter rod can be adjusted to work, while a longer rod cannot.

Ring Quantity Guidance

Cafe curtain pinch pleats are typically spaced at about 4 inches, so you will usually need 1 ring for every 4 inches of rod width. A 30" width, for example, generally uses 8 rings.

If you prefer a fuller look, or want tighter pleat spacing when the curtain is hung, you can order additional rings based on your preferred fullness.

Installation Tips

  • Screws are M4 size, so use a slightly smaller drill bit when making pilot holes.
  • For hollow walls such as drywall, wood, or metal framing, use standard screws.
  • For solid walls such as concrete or brick, use expansion screws.

Return Note

Because each rod is custom made to your requested width, it is non-returnable. If you are unsure which width to order, it is best to confirm your measurements before placing the order.

FAQs

Adjusting the pin hooks is straightforward. To lower the hook, simply pull it down to your desired position. If you need to raise it, pull the hook all the way down and out through the open bottom, then reinsert it at the desired height for a perfect fit.
For example, if the **single panel width before pleats are made** is 106", and each pleat is created every 10 5/8" of fabric, there will be 10 pleats, requiring 11 rings. The calculation is 106 ÷ (10 5/8) + 1.
